We May Not Have It All Together, But Together We Have It All

Today was bittersweet for my family & I. We watched my younger brother Clark, 19, leave for four and a half months to boot camp and job training for the National Guard. The amount of time he'll be gone really isn't that long, but to think that when he comes back he will have become a man is hard to think about. We're all really proud of him, though, and we know he'll do great.
Having to say "Goodbye" to him wasn't easy for me at all. I think it hit me that things are changing and life moves fast, in fact, a little too fast to not continually recognize the blessings that we have in our lives. Today I was reminded of the great blessing I have of a loving, supportive family. It's not that I don't recognize them on a daily basis, I do, but it reminded me how important it is to show and express my love for them on a daily basis. I love my family so much and I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. Like I said today was bittersweet. It was hard to see my little brother go, but it was a good thing as well because I feel it brought my family even closer than we were before.

We love you Clark!
