Passion

I came across a few essay questions while filling out a college application a few months ago. I found two of the questions to be quite profound and really made me reflect on my life. One being, "What are your passions?" The question was more wordy of course, but that was the gist of what made me think. I thought to myself "what are my passions?" Having passion for something is really deep, for me I think of the things that keep me going. I can think of a lot of little things that I take special interest in, but are they my passions? I don't think so. After much thought, I realized I have five main passions & are listed in no particular order below.
-Children
-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
-Family
-Learning
-Friends
Being that the essays were only able to contain 200 words maximum, I wasn't able to include all of them. As a matter of fact, I only had enough "word space" to include just one. I'm not that too good at condensing, I guess. It made me happy, though, to realize I am passionate, even though I would never describe myself as such. Everyone, though, is passionate about something. That's what makes this world a beautiful place.

Hi, I just found your blog! I can imagine it would be quite difficult to condense your passions into just 200 words! It makes me think about what I would write had I been asked the same question!

What a great post. And I don't think I realized you were LDS. Me too! Always good to find another LDS blogger. :)

I found 50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind and tried answering those. It really got me thinking about things. Maybe it's something you want to look at too?
